All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Santos Pesina - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 13, 1998 Graveside services for Mrs. Santos Pesina, age 71, of Tallulah, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 11, in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, with the Rev. Patrick Murphy officiating. Mrs. Pesina died Friday, May 8, 1998, in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brownsville, Texas, and had lived in Tallulah for 29 years. She was a retired housekeeper for the Madison Parish Hospital. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Brownsville, Texas. Survivors include two sons, Ray R. Pesina and Jimmy L. Pesina. both of Tallulah; six daughters, Mary Louise Peacock and Tony Jenkins, both of Tallulah, Juanita Martinez of Delhi, Gloria Gutierrez of San Juan, Texas, Estella Pesina Aguilar of Mansfield, Texas, and Ramona Peacock of McGehee, Ark.; three brothers, Sam Mejias and Fernando Mejias, both of Tallulah, and Pete Mejias of Monroe; two sisters, Clara Mejias of Minnesota and Maria Mejias of Tallulah; her mother Clemencia Mejias of Tallulah; 29 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah was in charge of arrangements.
