All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Martin Pemberton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 10, 1977 Funeral services for Martin Pemberton, 64, of Tallulah, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Pemberton died Monday at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Xxxxx, a resident of Tallulah for 39 years, a logging contractor, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Scott, Nichols, Volk American Legion Post No. 100 in Tallulah. Survivors include one brother, J. O. Pemberton of Monroe; two nieces and two nephews. Pallbearers were Floyd Wall, Benny Prewitt, Everett Edwards, Jim Sevier, Don Belott and Billy Keller. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Scott, Nichols, Volk American Legion Post No. 100 of Tallulah.
