All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Valeria Logue Paxton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 21, 1975 Mrs. Valeria Logue Paxton, 50, prominent Madison Parish resident, died ----day at Mercy Memorial Medical Center in Vicksburg following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Paxton was a native of Vicksburg and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Logue. She was the wife of Albert Paxton and a member of the First Methodist Church of Tallulah. Services were held Saturday at 10 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ned L. Stout officiating. Burial was on LaClede Plantation under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Albert Paxton; four sons, Albert H. Paxton, Jr., William T. Paxton, John H. Paxton, James E. Paxton; two sisters, Pamela S. Paxton and C. ----a Paxton, all of Tallulah; four brothers, Archie Logue, William Logue, Dorsey Logue of Vicksburg, and ---- Logue of Rayville; six sisters, Mrs. Albert Hoxie, Mrs. Riley Alford, Mrs. Robert Hoseman and Mrs. Jack Harper of Vicksburg, Mrs. Frank Knox, Scooba, Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Noble, Edwards, Miss; three grandchildren, Albert A. Paxton, William T. Paxton, Jr. and Amy C. Paxton. Pallbearers were John Prewitt and E. W. Haining of Vicksburg, and Stuart Moberly, Robert Gaumnitz, Jim Folk, Warren Patrick, Andrew L. Sevier, Jr. and D. D. Wood, all of Tallulah. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. George Martin, Pete Nosser, Sr., Pete Nosser, Jr., Crawford Mims and Ted Houston of Vicksburg; Larry Townsend, Schreiver, La., Tommy Leoty, W. P. Sevier, Jr., Dr. H. S. Provine, Jack Folk and Edgar Lancaster of Tallulah. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Tallulah Methodist Youth or the American Cancer Society.
