All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Clarence Parker - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 10, 1967 Funeral Services Held Monday For Clarence Parker Funeral services for Clarence Parker, 81, were held at 10:00 a. m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Grover Smith officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home, with Masonic graveside rites. Mr. Parker died Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Texas and had been a resident of Madison Parish for 30 years. He was a member of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 308, and was a Shriner. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Parker, three sons, Saniford Parker and Winfred Parker, both of Tallulah, and Clarence Parker, Jr. of Fort Deposit, Md.; six daughters, Mrs. W. O. Wiggins, Mrs. O. M. Gunn and Mrs. Herman Thornton, Jr.; all of Tallulah; Mrs. B. F. Foster of Georgetown, La., Mrs. R. S. Freeman of Homer, and Mrs. T. R. Wiggins of Baton Rouge; 29 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Virgil Neumann, W. S. Lisonbee, Armand Cox, Joe Thornton, Billy Frith and H. C. Ashley.
