Parker Dies from Injuries Received In Car-Truck Accident Sunday; Arkansas Man Is Charged Funeral services for A. G Parker, 45, who died in a Vicksburg hospital in the pre-dawn hours Sunday of injuries suffered in a car-truck smashup just inside the Tallulah city limits on U. S. Highway 80 west about 1:00 A. M., were held Monday at 2:00 P. M. Services were conducted at Crothers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Grover Smith officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Parker, father of two and assistant manager of the A & P Super Market, suffered the fatal injuries when his car hit a trailer truck turning onto the highway from a side street, according to Tallulah police. Carl Fry, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, driver of the truck, has been charged with negligent homicide after the death of Mr. Parker. Fry's case will be turned over to the Grand Jury when it meets in the spring, according to reports. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lois Parker, a son and daughter, David and Sylvia Ann, all of Tallulah; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Parker, Tallulah; three brothers, Sanford, Clarence and Winfred Parker, all of Tallulah; and six sisters, Mrs. Otto Wiggins, Mrs. Herman Thornton, and Mrs. O. M. Gunn, all of Tallulah; Mrs. B. F. Foster, Georgetown; Mrs. T. R. Wiggins, Baton Rouge; and Mrs. R. S. Freeman, Homer. Pallbearers were Tommy Boyd, Clark Brown, Armon Cox, George McDonald, C. H. Hodge and Billy Frith.
