Panquin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 3, 1977 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary L. Panquin, 60, of Tallulah, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Revs. Crawford Williams and Frank Shields officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Panquin died Saturday at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was native of Ouachita Parish, a resident of Tallulah for 40 years, a sales clerk, housewife and member of the Parkview Baptist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include her husband, J. V. Panquin of Tallulah; one son, James "Bubba" Panquin of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Betty McDonald and Mrs. Linda Moffett, both of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Iris Young of Monroe; one brother, Norman Bingham of West Monroe; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bill Ziegler, Lloyd Erwin, Robert Jackson, Terry "Slim" Johns, Jerry Smith, and Sherman Price. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Tallulah Fire Department. The family requests that any planned memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
