Owens - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star November 20, 1960 TALLULAH (Special) — Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Mrs. L. W. Owens, 56, who was killed in an automobile accident Thursday morning at her home at Casa Robles, Calif. Mrs. Owens was a former resident of Vicksburg, Miss., and had been in California for the past three years. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophesy in Vicksburg. Final rites are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Crothers Funeral chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. Thadis Powell officiating. Interment will be in Silver Creek Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, L. W. Owens; two sons, W. J. Owens of Oakland, Calif., and Howie Lewis Owens of Casa Robles; two daughters, Mrs. William Blair and Miss Bobbie Jean Owens, both of Casa Robles; 11 grandchildren, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jobe of Tallulah; two brothers, J. B. Jobe Jr., and Charlie Jobe, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kirkland and Mrs. Tech Fondren, both of Tallulah.
