O'Shea - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 21, 1988 Funeral services for Mr. John B. O'Shea, 84, will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Tallulah with Father Terry Allen and the Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. O'Shea died Tuesday morning at his home following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Cairo. Ill. and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 52 years. He was a member and past president of the Tallulah Lions Club, a past district governor of District 81, Louisiana Lions Club, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a retired mail carrier of the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. O'Shea was also a past lector and member of St. Edwards Catholic Church. A rosary service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel. Survivors include his wife, Mayme E. O'Shea of Tallulah; one son, John E. O'Shea of Appleton, Wis.; one brother. Joseph O'Shea of Cairo, Ill.; four grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Pallbearers will be John E. O'Shea Jr., Mike O'Shea, Dr. Kurt Marks, Dr. Pat Nolan, Jimmie Edwards and Gerald Tonore. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Tallulah Lions Club.
