Osborne Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 17, 1980 Funeral services for Ilar W. Osborne Sr. of Tallulah were in the First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Osborne died late Thursday at his home after an apparent heart attack. He was 64. Mr. Osborne was a native of Xxxx County, Tennessee and a Tallulah resident for the past 43 years. He was the founder and vice-president of Osborne Ford-Lincoln-Mercury of Tallulah, and a co-owner of Osborne Mobile Home. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah and a member of the Rotary Club. Mr. Osborne was a director of the Tallulah State Bank and Trust Co., a member of the Masonic Lodge, a Shriner and a member of the Executive Board of the Louisiana Baptist Convention, and an avid sportsman. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Claudine Osborne of Tallulah; Ilar Osborne Jr. and John Osborne, both of Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Gustafson and Ruthie Osborne, Tallulah, and Mrs. Melanie Meeks of Monroe La.; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Osborne of Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Alexander and Mrs. Jeanette Sharpe, both of Tallulah; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Merle Gustafson, Steve Gustafson, Todd Kennedy, Paul Meeks, Jeff Thomas and Clayton Cox. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Osborne Ford. The family requests that any memorials be made to the churches of Madison Parish.
