All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ John Frank Olvey - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 5, 1978 Funeral services for John Frank Olvey, 64, of Tallulah, a prominent cattleman and farmer, were held Tuesday at the First Baptist in Tallulah with the Revs. Crawford Williams and Frank Shields officiating. Burial was in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Olvey died Monday at Mercy al Medical Center in Vicksburg, Miss. after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Olvey, Ark., a resident of Madison Parish for the past 40 years, a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah, the Boone County Masonic Lodge of Harrison, Ark., and the Louisiana Farm Bureau and Louisiana Cattlemen's Association. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruth Olvey of Tallulah; one brother, C. E. Olvey, Jr. of Pocahontas, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Joe Berna of Oklahoma City, Okla. and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Fred Frazier, James Bowles, Caster Causey, Lonnie Jennings, Morris Parker, Woodrow Cagnolatti, Harris Wise and A. L. Gordy.
