All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Lucy Obera Ogden - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 4, 1998 Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Obera Ogden, age 63, of Tallulah, were held 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, in the chapel of Crothers-Greenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. L.F. Burnside officiating. Burial followed in the Lamar Baptist Church Cemetery near Delhi. Mrs. Ogden died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Carthage, Miss., had lived in Tallulah for 45 years. She was a housewife and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include four daughters; Patricia Buford of Vicksburg, Miss., Rita Bethea of Longview, Texas, Trudy Hattaway of Tallulah, Mary Palmeri of Corsicana, Texas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six brothers: Clay Burnside of Clinton, Miss., Charley Burnside and Bud Burnside, both of Carthage, Miss., Jimmy Burnside of Jackson, Miss., L. F. Burnside of Morton, Miss., and James Burnside of Madison, Miss.; and six sisters: Bessie Federick of Tallulah, Tressie Vowell of Philadelphia, Miss., Jane McCluskey of Carthage, Miss., Virginia Wiggins and Rose Prechard, both of Dallas, Texas, Trudy Hardin of Fort Worth, Texas, and Louise Hershberger of Gainesville, Ga. Pallbearers were James Ogden, Johnny Barnes, Derl Allen, Rusty Buford, John Christian and Daryle Sandidge.
