All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Lester James Norton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post March 27, 2009 TALLULAH — Lester James Norton died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at his home near Tallulah. He was 94. Mr. Norton was born in Wesson and had lived in Madison Parish for 19 years. He was a retired welder for International Paper Co. Mr. Norton was a member and deacon at Mound Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lovie Busby Norton of Tallulah; one daughter, June Edwards of Eutawville, S.C.; a stepson, Larry Morgan of Bush, La.; two stepdaughters, Linda Mayeaux of Avondale, La., and Lavonne Cassou of Pearl River, La.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild. Services were at 9 a.m. today at Mound Baptist Church with the Rev. Jay Simms officiating. Burial followed at South Central Baptist Church Cemetery in Wisner, La., under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Ray Case, Ray Goings, John C. Watts Jr., Jeff Reddick, James Price and Felton Townsend. Honorary pallbearer was T.L. Busby.
