Betty Lou Nixon (Perdue) was born on August 19, 1945 in Tallulah, Louisiana. She passed away at her home surrounded by family in Vicksburg, Mississippi on May 11, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband R.B. Nixon, Jr. (1942- 2017), her father Pete King, her mother Donie King, and her sisters Ora Bell Cole, Toni King and Josephine King.
 
Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her surviving family: 
Daughters (Sons-in-law): Shelia Reeves (Edward), Carisa Haire (William Jr.) and Alisa Barnette.
Grandchildren: Kyle Robinson (Brandy), Kayla Haire, Landon Haire, and Kadence Vines
Great Grandchildren: Ashton Morgan, Chloe Robinson, Zoey Robinson, and Abigail Robinson.
