She passed away at her home surrounded by family in Vicksburg, Mississippi on May 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband R.B. Nixon, Jr. (1942- 2017), her father Pete King, her mother Donie King, and her sisters Ora Bell Cole, Toni King and Josephine King. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her surviving family: Daughters (Sons-in-law): Shelia Reeves (Edward), Carisa Haire (William Jr.) and Alisa Barnette. Grandchildren: Kyle Robinson (Brandy), Kayla Haire, Landon Haire, and Kadence Vines Great Grandchildren: Ashton Morgan, Chloe Robinson, Zoey Robinson, and Abigail Robinson.
