"Nick" Nicols - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 23, 1992 Graveside services for Mr. Albert R. "Nick" Nicols, 79, of Shreveport were held on Aug. 23 at Fern Park Cemetery in Natchitoches. Officiating was Rev. McNair Smith, retired pastor of Fairfield Presbyterian Church, where Mr. Nicols was a member Mr. Nicols died at P & S Hospital on Aug. 21 after a brief illness. He was born in Tallulah and had been a resident of Shreveport for 45 years. He was retired as finance officer of the V.A. Medical Center, Survivors include his wife, Jessie Dean Dunckelman Nicols; one daughter, Jo Harrell; and two granddaughters. Honorary pallbearers were Dr, Charles Lee, Robert Lee Ammons, Charles Rose, Jeffrey D. Harrell and the St. Vincent Mall Walkers. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
