JOSEPH, La. — Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Edward Neuroth, age 77, of St. Joseph, La., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. C.R. Martin officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ferre D’Cruz. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Neuroth died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La., after a lengthy illness. He was born in Britt, Iowa, and lived in Tallulah most of his life. He moved to St. Joseph in 1979. Mr. Neuroth was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired warehouse manager and a member of Hebert Community Church in Hebert, La. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hilton Neuroth. Survivors include two sons, Craig E. Neuroth and wife Lori and David T. Neuroth, all of St. Joseph; three brothers, Mike Tryon of Swartz, La., Gary Tryon of Conroe, Texas, and Frank Tryon of Whitewright, Texas; two sisters, Eva Reynolds and Kathleen Mills, both of Tallulah; and three grandchildren, Ryan Neuroth, Abby Neuroth and Avery Dawson, all of St. Joseph. Pallbearers will be Allen Lansing, Curt Leake, Brit Keahey, Lawrence Perrit, David Lee and Keith Smith.
