Naylor - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 22, 1971 Heart attack claims life of Rod Naylor Funeral services for Rodney D. Naylor, 71, of Tallulah, were held last Friday at 3 p. m. at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Joseph Harrison officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Naylor died April 13 in Vicksburg Hospital after an apparent heart attack. A native of Jennings, he lived in Tallulah for 60 years. He owned and operated Naylor's Service Station and Naylor's Farm Equipment Co. He was a member of the Episcopal Church and a veteran of World War I, a charter member of the local chapter of the American Legion and the Tallulah Rotary Club. He was also a Mason. Survivors include one sister. Mrs. F. W. McDuff of Tallulah: two nephews, Fred McDuff, Tallulah and Dr. Lynn C. Naylor, Decatur, Ala.: one great-nephew and four great-nieces. Pallbearers were Calvin Adams, Robert A. Holstead, H. C. Sevier Jr., Ed Lewis, R. C. Todd, Bobby Grimes, Carroll Regan and Fred D. Wyly. Honorary pallbearers were Henry E. Linam, Don Sevier, H. C. Sevier, Sr., J. B. Wyly, Sr., Joe Clark, Charles Sparling, H. S. Weaver, W. P. Sevier Jr., Harry Barrett, Sam Fuller, Judge C. C. Adams, R. R. Mitchell, Dr. H. S. Provine, Jim Parker and Harvey Mounger.
