Murphy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 3, 1991 Funeral services for Miss Mary L. Murphy, 71, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ramon Warren and Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Miss Murphy died Friday at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson following a lengthy illness. She was born in Ida, La. and was a longtime resident of Tallulah. She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport where she was a registered nurse. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Billie Byram and Pat Windham, both of Tallulah; one brother, Norman E. Murphy of Charleston, S.C. and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Todd Windham, Bill Windham, Rowdy Nosser, Scott Caraway, Charles Byram, John Byram, Sean Milner and James Albert Martin.
