Morton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 1, 1990 Funeral services for Mrs. Jane L. Morton, 74, were held at 11 a.m.1liesday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Morton died Sunday at Colonial Nursing Home in Rayville. She was born in East Baton Rouge Parish and had been a resident of St. Joseph for the past 10 years. She was a longtime resident of Greenwood. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greenwood First United Methodist Church. She had served as an officer of the Swim-ming Committee of the S.A.A.U. and served in many church youth activities. Survivors include her husband, A. W. (Slick) Morton of Brandon, Miss.; two sons, Jeff Morton of Brandon and Johnny Morton of Alexandria; two daughters, Ruth Coenen of Rayville and Mary Jane Smith of Greenwood; and 12 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dalton Fortenberry, Don Morton, Don Kennon, Jeff David, Will Coenen and J. J. Morton. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Chapter of Northeast Louisiana or to the "Richland Against Drugs" of Richland Parish.
