All rights reserved. ************************************************ Frances Pauline Bledsoe Morton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, May 11, 2006 TALLULAH - Frances Pauline Bledsoe Morton died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Olive Branch Nursing Home. She was 85. Born in Roxton, Texas, Mrs. Morton was a graduate of East Texas State University. A retired home economics teacher, she retired from Tallulah High School after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Tallulah First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Bledsoe Sr.; her husband, Harry Don Morton Sr.; a son, Dr. Shelby Paul Morton; a brother, Shelby Bledsoe Jr.; and two sisters, Nancy Alice Woolridge and Ruth B. Jones. Survivors include a son, Harry Don Morton Jr. of Vicksburg; a daughter, Judy M. Fortenberry of Tallulah; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. Jean Foreman officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of service at the church. Pallbearers will be Edwin Fortenberry, Mark Hawkins, David Williams, Mike Rabb, Mac Cagnolatti Jr., and Philip Frierson. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert “Racer” Holstead, Raymond Jones, Jeff Morton, Herbert Wood and Don Kennon. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Tallulah.
