All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ William Harrell Morris - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 24, 1974 Billy Morris Funeral services for William Harrell Morris, 59, of Tallulah, were held in Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Joel Treadway officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Morris died Sunday night in a hospital in West Monroe after a lengthy illness. A native of Bastrop, Mr. Morris had been a resident Madison Parish for 35 years, and a estate broker and with the Federal Housing authority of Shreveport for 15 also a Veterans Administration representative here for 15 years. He was a former president of the Tallulah Country Club, a senior warden in the Trinity Episcopal Church and Sunday School superintendent there. He was also a member of the Advisory Council of the Department of Occupational Standards. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Carolyn C. Morris, Tallulah; a daughter, Mrs. Linda M. Arnold, Bossier City; three brothers, John Marshall Morris and Jasper P. Morris, both of Camden, Ark.; and Robert Todd Morris, Monroe; and a granddaughter, Denise Deacon. The family requests that all memorials be made to the American Heart Association. Pallbearers were Kirk Morley, J. K. Post, Charles Abrahm, Malcolm Sevier, Harry Holt, Calvin Adams, Louis Buckner and Prentiss Womack.
