All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Thurman Morgan Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 16, 1978 Graveside services for Thurman Morgan Sr., 72, of Baton Rouge were held Monday in the Liberty Cemetery in Linville with Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Services were under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home of Baton Rouge. Mr. Morgan died Friday morning at Baton Rouge General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a retired civil engineer with the State Department of Public Works, a member of the Louisiana Engineering Society and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Morgan lived several years in Tallulah while he served as district engineer with the DPW and after serving as Engineering Consultant for the 5th Louisiana Levee District Board. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie Haile Morgan of Baton Rouge; two sons, Don L. Morgan of Ringwood, N.J., and Dr. Thurman C. Morgan Jr. of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Harold Heres of Baton Rouge; one brother Marvin Morgan of Livonia; and 7 grandchildren.
