Montgomery, one of Madison Parish's pioneers and leaders, died at her home in Tallulah last night, after an illness of a few days. She suffered a stroke of paralysis about a week ago, just after she had entered her home after an automobile ride, and never regained consciousness. She is survived by one son and one daughter — George W. Montgomery and Mrs. W. R. Spann, both of Tallulah. She was a member of the prominent Trezevant family of New Orleans. All the business houses closed during the funeral hour today as a mark of respect, the interment being in a local cemetery.
