All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Coralie Gilfoil Montgomery - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 6, 1998 Funeral services for Mrs. Coralie Gilfoil Montgomery of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Tallulah. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tallulah. Mrs. Montgomery died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Field Montgomery. A graduate of Louisiana State University, she taught school and was retired from the adoption division of the Louisiana State Welfare Department. Mrs. Montgomery served on many community boards in Tallulah and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Survivors include a daughter, Garnet M. Watts of Fort Smith, Ark.; a son, J. Field Montgomery Jr. of Princeton, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. B. R. Burgoyne of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were John C. Watts III, F. Montgomery Watts, J. Field Montgomery III, Jeff Maxwell, Wyly Gilfoil, William C. Norman Jr. and Victor K. Perry. Memorial contributions may be made to Boyce Cearley Memorial Center in Fort Smith, St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. or the Madison Parish Library in Tallulah. Lewis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
