All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Alexander Kincaid Montgomery - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 8, 1963 Funeral Services Held Monday For Alex Montgomery Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Chapel in Crothers Funeral home for Mr. Alexander Kincaid Montgomery, 78 years old. Mr. Montgomery, of an old and prominent family in our parish, had made his home here with his sister, Mrs. A. E. Adams on Bayou Dr. He died Sunday afternoon in Madison Parish hospital after a short illness. He was born in Rayville, La., son of Judge and Mrs. E. C. Montgomery. Judge Montgomery's grandson is Judge Clifford C. Adams of Tallulah. He has made his home in this area for over a quarter of a century. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. A. E. (Carolyn Montgomery) Adams, Mrs. John Oliver (Montgomery) Higgins of Lake Village, Ark., and one brother, Mr. Edward Calvin Montgomery, of Shreveport, La. His personality made many friends for him during his lifetime. Besides his sisters and brother, his relatives in Tallulah are: Mrs. A. G. Willett, Mrs. Henry C. Sevier, Miss Addison Brooks, Mr. Will Adams, and Judge C. C. Adams. Other nieces and nephews are from Lake Village, Ark, Edwards, Miss. and Shreveport, La. The Rev. Dan Lott, of Tallulah Presbyterian Church, officiated at both the services here and at the interment in Delhi, La. Cemetery.
