Moncrief Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 16, 1986 Services for Robert L. Moncrief Sr., 82, were at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. He died Wednesday at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a long illness. Mr. Moncrief was a native of Ruston and a resident of Tallulah for 56 years. He was an educator, a retired principal of Tallulah High School, a past member of Tallulah's Rotary Club, member of Mens Bible Class of First United Methodist Church in Tallulah. Survivors include two sons, Robert Lee Moncrief Jr, of Engleside, Texas and Stephen Moncrief of Atlanta; one daughter Jane M. Conerly of DeRidder; one brother, J. W. Moncrief of Bastrop; five sisters, Sallie Beasey of Ruston, Mildred Moncrief of Baton Rouge, Alberta Webster of Mansfield, Virginia Anderson of Long Beach and Kathryn Adams of Biloxi, Miss.; five grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Simpson, C. C. Adams, Perry Williams, John Neill, R. A. Holstead, Charlie Arneson, Edgar Lancaster Jr., and W. A. Windham. Honorary pallbearers were Don Sevier, Travis McNeel, Glen Booth, Malcolm Sevier, and members of First United Methodist Church Mens Bible Class.
