Moncrief - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 4, 1979 The funeral of Mrs. Frances N. Moncrief, 62, of Tallulah was held Saturday at Tallulah Methodist Church with the Rev. Ned Stout officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah. Mrs. Moncrief died Thursday at Xxxxod Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Moncrief was a Bienville Parish native and a longtime resident of Tallulah. She was a teacher and a retired social worker for the Louisiana Department Welfare, a member of the Tallulah Methodist Church, the Milliken's Bend Homemakers Club and safety chairman of the Madison Parish Homemakers Council. Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Moncrief Sr. of Tallulah; two sons, Robert L. Moncrief Jr. of Ingleside, Texas, and Stephen N. Moncrief of Atlanta; a daughter, Mrs. Jane M. Conerly of DeRidder; three sisters, Myra Norman of Shreveport, Mrs. Novis Flynn of Vallejo, Calif., and Amy Norman of Silver Springs, Md.; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were R. E. Fowler, C. B. Miller, Conrad Sevier, Bland Greason, Martin Verhagen, Earl Gilbreath, John Simpson and Boone Halbach.
