All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Aura Purnell Molenaar - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 31, 1975 Funeral services were held for Mrs. P. S. Molenaar, formerly Miss Aura Purnell, at 10:30 Tuesday, July 22, in Houston, Texas, with burial in Forest Cemetery. Mrs. Molenaar was a native of Madison Parish and a well-known teacher in the local schools, a Girl Scout leader and a member of the Presbyterian church. Later she was a valued employee in the Trust Department of First City National Bank in Houston, Texas, retiring after 20 years with bad health. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Houston, an active member of Business and Professional Women's Club with civic activities and in retirement was commended for talented work with Presbyterian Women's Sewing group for orphanages and missions. Mrs. Molenaar is survived by three grandchildren, Leonor Bernardette Frierson, Carla Frances Frierson, and Edward Bernard Frierson Jr., all of Laredo, Texas. Also by a sister, Miss Lillie Purnell and a step-daughter, Miss Ann Molenaar of Houston and a sister Mrs. Richard M. Almond of Tallulah, and other relatives.
