All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Ada Bruce Moberley - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star June 22, 1937 Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Bruce Moberley, wife of J. A. Moberley, a leading planter of Madison parish, who died late Saturday night at the Vicksburg sanitarium, were held from the Methodist church here Tuesday morning with Rev. C. K. Smith officiating. Mrs. Moberley was a native of Illinois, but had resided here for many years. She was an active worker in the Methodist church. Surviving are her husband; one son, Dean Moberley, of Philadelphia, Pa.; one daughter, Miss Hazel Jean Moberley of Tallulah; four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. John A. Moberley, of Matoon, Ill. A nephew, Lieutenant Bertrand Bruce, is stationed at Barksdale field, Shreveport. Pallbearers were J. R. Linton, R. A. Tate, Lyn Naylor, V. R. Thompson, Henry Sevier and R. R. Spigener. MOBERLY Funeral rites for Mrs. Ada Bruce Moberley, 77, who died at Streets' Sanitarium Saturday, were held at the Methodist Church Tuesday morning with the Rev. C. Karlos Smith officiating, and Rev. W. H. Giles, of Bastrop, assisting. Mrs. Moberley, a native of Windsor, Ill., moved to Tallulah 26 years ago. She has done active work in the Methodist Church here, and formerly was a member of the Tallulah Book Club. She is survived by her husband, Mr. J. A. Moberley; a daughter, Hazel Jean Moberley; a son, Dean Moberley; and a sister, Mrs. John W. Moberley. Active pallbearers were Lyn Naylor, V. R. Thompson, Henry C. Sevier, R. R. Spigener, Jas. R. Linton, and R. A. Tate.
