All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Frances Baxter Mitchell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star October 10, 2012 Graveside services for Frances Baxter Mitchell, 78, of Monroe will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Mulhearn Memorial Park with Dr. Allison Moody officiating. Mrs. Mitchell was born on February 26, 1934 in Tallulah, LA and passed away on October 5, 2012 in Monroe, LA. During World War II she worked at the ammunitions plant in Bossier City, LA where she met her husband to be, Gerald Mitchell. She received a masters degree in Home Economics from Louisiana Tech and in early years has a TV show here in Monroe. She also worked as an educator in a couple of schools in the Monroe area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Mitchell and her parents, Ira and Aline Baxter. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her aunt, Mary Fay Gallien and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be: Paul Nolan, Henry Watts, James Crigler, Jr. and Neal Gallien. Donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1888 Hudson Circle, Suite 1, Monroe, LA 71201 or the Humane Society, 920 Freight Drive, Monroe, LA 71203.
