Mills - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post, March 17, 1941 MRS. JOHN A. MILLS OF TALLULAH, LA DIES HERE SUNDAY TALLULAH, La., March 17--Mrs. John A. Mills, 60, died in Vicksburg Sunday night following an illness of three months. Mrs. Mills had been a resident of Tallulah since 1937. Her husband is a planter in Madison Parish. She was a member of the Methodist church. Besides her husband Mrs. Mills is survived by eight children, two daughters and six sons. The daughters are Mrs. John Hoogland, Madison Parish and Mrs. Myron Baily of Simpson, La. The sons are Arthur and Ralph Mills in the U. S. Army at Savannah. Ga., end Warren Mills in the U.S. Army Air Corps, at Kansas City, Mo., and Joseph, Richard and Darrel, all residing at Tallulah. She also leaves five sisters and five brothers all who reside in Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the local Methodist church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock with Rev. D. W. Poole, pastor, officiating. Following the services her remains will be shipped to Salem, Iowa for interment.
