Lady Elaine Miles
November 13, 1929 - November 27, 2016

 

Lady Elaine Miles, 87, Delta, La. passed away November 27, 2016 at her home. Born in Sharkey County, Ms., Lived in Vicksburg, Ms., for many years but lived in Delta, La., since 1991.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband William H. Miles, daughter Pam McGreevy, son Charles E. Miles, three grandchildren Deitch Jackson, Missy Jackson Hocutt and Adam Miles, sister Aline Flannigan, Brothers Crip Brown and Lewis Brown.

 

She was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons W.A. Jackson of Vicksburg, Ms., Eugene Miles of Delta, La., two daughters Patsy Jackson Ellis of Delta, La., Dianne Copes of Eagle Lake, Ms., one sister Shirley Barksdale of Yazoo City, Ms., twelve grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren.

 

Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday November 29, 2016 at the Glenwood Chapel in Vicksburg, burial will follow at Mounds Cemetery in Rolling Fork, Ms., and visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the hour of service in Vicksburg, Ms., Rev. Lester Miles will be officiating the service under the direction if Glenwood Funeral Home.
