All rights reserved. ************************************************ Clarence "Pat" Melton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Wilson County (OR) News February 14, 2004 Clarence "Pat" Melton, 73, of Medford, died Monday (May 20, 2002). The memorial service will be held at a later date. He was born Feb. 14, 1929, in Tallulah, La., to Robert Lee and Corina Pearl Melton. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1953 from Louisiana. In 1975, in Reno, Nev., he married Helga Rinehart, who survives. Mr. Melton was superintendent of Rogue River Paving for 25 years. He also started and operated Melton Enterprises. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Melton was a member of Operating Engineers Union No. 701. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include eight sons, Mark and Cory Melton, both Medford, Steven Melton, in Oregon, Charlie Melton, in Washington, Gerhart and Wilhelm Skinner, both in Florida, and James and Robert Skinner, both Lebanon, Ore.; three daughters, Margaret Keiser, Medford, Heidi Corbin, Ashland, and Claudia Zavalla, White City; four brothers, Robert, Mickey, Leonard and M.L. Melton; two sisters, Bell Roberson and Barbara Ann Gourley; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie, Marzell and Bill; and a sister, Ruby Moffet. Friends may leave a message in the guest book at www.perlfuneral.com.
