McKay - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post November 17, 1947 LAST RITES FOR LIEUTENANT M'KAY TALLULAH, La., Nov. 17- Funeral services for Lieutenant Robert G. McKay, who was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in order to save his men, will be held at the home of his mother, Mrs. M. G. McKay, in Waverly Wednesday, morning with the Rev. Sam Holiday, Methodist minister of Coushatta, officiating, assisted by the Rev. G. L. Tatum of Delhi. There will be full military rites at the grave at Sarepta Cemetery near Port Gibson, which will be in charge of the Tallulah post of the American Legion, Joe Milton Clark, post commander. Pallbearers will be chosen from the members of the local post. Lieutenant McKay is survived by his mother, Mrs. M. G. McKay; two brothers, Charles McKay of Baton Rouge and Frank McKay of Waverly; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. I. Z. McKay of Bogalusa.
