MCDOWELL DIES AT BLYTHEVILLE, ARKANSAS Mangham, Jan. 12.-Funeral services were held this week in Blytheville, Ark., for Mrs. J. R. McDowell, 81 years old, who died there at the home of her daughter after a brief illness. She was a pioneer citizen of Madison Parish and was well known in north Louisiana. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. R. N. Farrar, of Blytheville, and Mrs. F. J. Baum, of Memphis; one son, J. D. McDowell, and five grandsons. Mrs. McDowell was a member of a prominent family in this state, her old home having been in Tallulah. Her husband died 21 years ago.
