"Duck" McCurdy died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. He was 29. Born in Monroe, Mr. McCurdy had lived in Vicksburg for two years. He was pool operator for the Ergon Terminal. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Travis McCurdy; one daughter, Courtney Alexis McCurdy; his mother and stepfather, Reida and Gary Hart of Blue Springs, Miss.; his father, William Ralph McCurdy of Bernice, La.; a sister, Angelia Gallegos of New Albany; a half-brother, William R. McCurdy of Cary; and a half-sister, Christy Creech of Oak Grove. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Cletus Moak officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the church. Pallbearers will be Stevie Miles, PeeWee Miles and Tommy Hart.
