McCready Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 12, 1983 Funeral services for Mr. John A. McCready Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Crothers Home Chapel with the Rev Howard McLemore officiating. Burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. McCready died Tuesday in Xxxxx Davis Memorial Hospital in Natchez, Miss., after a lengthy illness. A resident of Tallulah, he was a veteran of World War II. He had been a prisoner of war. Survivors include a son, John A. McCready III of Natchez, Miss.; two daughters, Pat Whitt of Natchez and Janice Whittington of Ferriday; a brother, Floyd McCready of Monroe; two sisters, Ola Bedgood of Tallulah and Dorothy Coleman of Riverside, Texas; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steve Bedgood, Melvin Bedgood, Ronnie Bedgood, James Whitt, Tim Whittington and Ebb Ferguson.
