McCready - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 23, 1994 Funeral services for Mr. Alton J. McCready, 58, were held Thursday in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Eldridge, TX, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Hasley officiating. Burial was in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Mr. McCready died Feb. 14. Mr. McCready was born in Tallulah but spent most of his childhood in Monroe. He gradu-ated from Northeast Louisiana University. For 35 years he was employed by Schlumberger Well Services. In 1992 he was appointed President of Schlumberger Wireline and Testing. Mr. McCready is survived by his wife Connie Pickering McCready; one son, Jay McCready of North Potomac, MD; one daughter, Nancy Potts of Katy, TX; three grandchildren;his mother, Mildred McCready of Monroe; one sister, Lea Daley of Tampa Bay, Fl.; and two brothers, Mike McCready of Ruston and Lynn McCready of Yazoo City, MS.
