McCoy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, March 21, 2007 TALLULAH - Bill R. McCoy died Monday, March 19, 2007, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 74. Mr. McCoy was born in Logansport, La. He graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La., and was a veteran. He owned McCoy Farms Inc. in Tallulah, having been a farmer in Madison Parish for 50 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Tallulah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon McCoy; and a brother, Bob McCoy. Survivors include his wife, Janet C. McCoy of Tallulah; a son, Scott McCoy of Nacogdoches, Texas; a daughter, Amanda Halgas of Magnolia, Texas; a stepson, Corey Hodge; a stepdaughter, Amy Hodge; one sister, Beth Crawford of Jefferson, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one stepgrandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jean Foreman officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Church Cemetery in Stanley, La. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Tallulah.
