All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Robert Lee Mayberry - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 2, 1982 Services for Robert Lee Mayberry, 74, were held at 2 p.m. at Willow Bayou Baptist near Tallulah with the Revs. Xxxxx Bignar and Billy R. Xxxxxx officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Mayberry died last Xxxxday at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, Miss. after a long illness. He was a native of Baskin and a resident of Madison Parish for the past several years. He was a retired millwright for Chicago Mill and Lumber Co. and a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Xxxx Mayberry of Tallulah; two sons, Xxxxx W. Mayberry of Holly Ridge and Douglas Mayberry of Tallulah; seven daughters, Mrs. Joyce Herman of Phoenix City, Ala., Mrs. Dorothy McCaskill of Shreveport, Mrs. Emma White of Bedford, Texas, Miss Annie Belle Kile of Pearl Miss., Mrs. Frances Hampton and Mrs. Pauline Jinks, both of Delhi and Mrs. Hattie Powers of Tallulah; three brothers, Elmer Mayberry and Alonzo Mayberry, both of Bastrop and Willis Mayberry of Irving, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Mae DeShaz and Mrs. Tiny Mayberry, both of Bastrop and Mrs. Pansy Beech of Wisner; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Harry Herman, Billy Thornton, Horace Russell, Jimmy Kile, David Kile and Rick Garner. Grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.
