All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mary Jane Mathis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post May 9, 2009 TALLULAH — Mary Jane Mathis died Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Madison Parish Hospital. She was 77. Born in Epps, La., Mrs. Mathis had lived in Tallulah for 35 years. She was a homemaker and cosmetologist. She is survived by a daughter, Faydra Beasley of Monroe; a brother, Robert Mathis of Tallulah; three sisters, Janie Britt, Pauline Cunningham and Betty Smith, all of Brookhaven; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service. Pallbearers will be Duane McClurg, John Welch, Bo Josey, Steve Mathis, Todd Mathis and Wayne Newman Jr.
