All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Allan "Cowboy" Mathews - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 23, 1982 Services for Allan "Cowboy" Mathews, 76, were held at 2 p.m. at the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. Xxark Diehl officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Mathews died Saturday at his residence after a long illness. He was a native of Morrison, Xxx, a resident of Tallulah for 33 years, a professional cowboy and a member of the Tallulah First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Pearl B. Mathews of Tallulah; daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou McNeel of Waskom, Texas; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Horsefly Higgins, Cordes Williamson, Bobby Parker, Thomas Russell, Tony Byrd and H.P. Pippin. The family requests memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Tallulah.
