Mason - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 8, 1989 Funeral services for Mr. Herbert L. Mason, 62, of St. Joseph were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Mason died Friday at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Oklahoma and had been a resident of St. Joseph for the past 1 1/2 years. He was a former resident of Tallulah for a number of years and a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He was a retired accountant and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sammie Mason of St. Joseph; one son, Herbert Michael Mason of Mojave Valley, Ariz.; two daughters, Julia Newman of Anaheim, Calif. and Vicki Diane Rabb of Tallulah; one brother, Louis A. Mason of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Hettie Bigbie of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; five grand-daughters and one grandson.
