Mackey, Jr. died Thursday, October 7, 1999 at the Parkview Regional Medical Center, He was 38. Born in Vicksburg, Mr. Mackey had been a resident of Tallulah, for the past 25 years. He was the owner and operator of the A. M. distributor of Vicksburg. Mr. Mackey was preceded in death by his father, A. B. "Jackie" Mackey who died in Feb. of 1999. Mr. Mackey was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: his wife: Debbie F. Mackey, of Tallulah; son: Shaun Alexander Mackey; daughter: April Michele Mackey, both of Tallulah; mother: Dianne Sue Williams, of Denver, Colo.; brothers: Doug Mackey, of Denver; David Mackey of Washington, D.C.; Jim Mackey, of North Carolina; Ray Mackey, of Denver; and Chris Mackey of Vicksburg; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday Oct. 10, 1999 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Tallulah, with Rev. John Rushing, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery with Fisher-Riles Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers were: John Howard Watts; Mauri Turner; Michael Hanlon; Wayne Smith; Mike Ellis; and Lee Oliver. Honorary pallbearers were: Bob Lowe; Lane Waites; Shawn Carter; Jimmy Fulgham; John Welch; Robert Woods; Kenny Bush; Charles Dunn; Lonny Barfield; Lloyd Erwin; Wayne Williams; Norris Fulgham; Ed Yerger; and Ken Barrett.
