Lopez - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 8, 2000 Funeral services for Mr. Domingo G. Lopez, age 78, of Tallulah, were held Friday, March 3, 2000, in St. Edwards Catholic Church with Father Ferre D'Cruz officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Lopez died Wednesday morning, March 1, at his residence outside of Tallulah after a lengthy illness. He was born in Weslaco, Texas, and had lived in Madison Parish for 45 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Eulalia Balli Lopez, Tallulah; five sons: Jimmy Lopez, Manuel Lopez, Tony Lopez and Wally Lopez, all of Tallulah; nine daughters: Isabel L. Hernandez, Eulalia McLain, Florence Wicker, Virginia Mahoney, Sara Mitchell, Emily Harrell, all of Tallulah; Domingo Thompson, Lake Providence, La., Aurora Driver, Monroe, La. And Mary Helen Martin, Crowville, La.; two sisters: Guadalupe Gonzales, Eiza, Texas and Florence Saldana, Tallulah; thirty one grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ed Trichell, David Cobb, Jeffrey Fautheree, Domingo Lopez, Guadalupe Hernandez, and Jerre Wade Wicker.
