All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Jess Lisonbee - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 7, 1970 Jess Lisonbee Dies Saturday; rites Monday Jess Lisonbee 70, died at a Vicksburg hospital Saturday after a short illness. Funeral services were held Monday at 3 p.m. from Crothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dale Wilson officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. Lisonbee was a native of Newton County, Miss" but had lived in Madison Parish for the past 30 years. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and was custodian of Silver Cross Cemetery until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Esther Lisonbee; 4 sons David E, Sessens of Newellton, Henry C. Sessens, Calvin Lisonbee and Mack Lisonbee, all of Tallulah; 4 daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mae Blackwell, Monroe, Julia Givens, Tallulah, Nancy Tarver, Houston, Texas; 4 sisters, Miss Virgie Lisonbee, Tallulah, Mrs. Nancy Griffith, Gulfport, Miss., Mrs. Lea Griffith, Tallulah, Mrs. Dorothy Williams, Watsonville, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
