All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Loecille Pinney Linton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 1, 1970 Mrs. Loecille Pinney Linton Dies Saturday At Age 77 Mrs. Loecille Pinney Linton, 77, of Tallulah, died Saturday morning, December 27, in the Madison Parish Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were at 3:00 p. m. Sunday, December 28, in Tallulah Methodist Church with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Linton was a native of Covington, Ky., and had lived in Tallulah for the past 60 years. A retired music teacher in the public school, she was the wife of James R. Linton, retired superintendent of Madison Parish Schools. She was a member of the Methodist Church, the Women's Society of the church and of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Howard E. Noble of Roseland; and one grandson Howard E. Noble Jr., also of Roseland. Pallbearers were M. A. Phillips, H. D. Morton, Silas King, Tom Barber, Jack Hopkins and Mack Hopkins.
