All rights reserved. ************************************************ Eliza Tharp Land - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 1968 Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Mrs. Eliza Land Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Land, 84, were held at the Tallulah Methodist Church Tuesday at 3 p. m., with the Rev. Clark Bell and Rev. John S. Hurt officiating. Burial followed in Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Land died early Monday morning(March 4)at the Madison Parish Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include a son Johnny L. Land, Tallulah; five daughters, Miss Gushen Land, Mrs. T. M. Watts, Mrs. Johnny Stocks, Mrs. Eula Wilkins, all of Tallulah, Mrs. Charles Pollard, Clarksville, Miss., and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were R. G. Waugh. Robert Brown, J. W. Deason, Manfred Gustafson, John Frank Olvey and James Bowles.
