All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Donald Deloes Lancaster, Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From New Orleans Times-Picayune November 9, 2007 Donald Deloes Lancaster, Jr. (Ret), of Slidell , LA , passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at the age of 58. Born in Monroe, LA, he was a graduate of Tallulah High School, the University of Monroe, and the Naval Post Graduate School. He proudly served his country for 23 years before retiring as a U.S. Navy Commander in 1994. After a brief retirement, he returned as the Comptroller of the Naval Oceanographic Office. In the words of his Commanding Officer, "Don was a good man, a great friend, and a superb professional." He was preceded in death by his parents Donald Deloes Lancaster, Sr. and Eva Louise (Craig) Lancaster. He was the beloved father of Donald Deloes Lancaster III and Anthony Edward Lancaster. Father-in-law of Jennifer (Lestelle) Lancaster, devoted grandfather of Rosemary Louise Lancaster, and loving companion of Leah Levenson Palmer. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was interred in Rayville Masonic Cemetery in Rayville, LA. Family and friends are invited to a commemoration of his life to be held at the Cypress House Pavilion at Stennis Space Center, MS, on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 4:30 pm.
