P. Lancaster Held Here Friday Mrs. Bessie Page Lancaster, age 72, died late Thursday afternoon, June 8th at the Madison Sanitarium after a lingering illness. She was the widow of the late Mr. Wallace A. Lancaster. A native of Newton, Miss., Mrs. Lancaster resided in this community the past 37 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church, and a member of the Madison Chapter of the Eastern Star, No. 94. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Tallulah Methodist Church, with the Rev. J. F. Kilpatrick, officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, in Silver Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Reed Watts, T. M. Watts, W. E. Hendricks, W. H. Harvey, Jim Parker, Ed Palmby. She is survived by 2 sons, Herman B. Lancaster, Tallulah; Wallace P. Lancaster, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 1 brother, Willie Page, Tallulah; 4 sisters, Mrs. H. B. Hancock, York, Ala.; Mrs. M. D. Barns, York, Ala.; Mrs. Walter Lancaster, Shreveport; Mrs. Lois Grayson, Wisner, La.; 3 grandchildren.
