Laird - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 5, 1989 Funeral services for Mr. Willie E. Laird, 74, were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Laird died Monday night at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Rayville and a resident of Tallulah for the past 37 years. He was a retired foreman with the Madison Parish Police Jury and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Irene Laird of Tallulah; two sons, Billy Wayne Laird and Dewey Daniel Laird, both of Tallulah; one daughter, Ellen Janice Herman of Tallulah; two brothers, Jesse Laird of Tallulah and Lovie Laird of Darnell; two sisters, Bertha Alexander of Rayville and Annie Lee of Vicksburg; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jack Taylor, John Laird, Jimmy Laird, Gene Laird, Gene Cox and Clint Johnson.
